I was raised on a small ranch south of Quemado, N. M. My mother and three of my sisters are artists. We are all self taught. I love animals, the outdoors, building things. I learned to weld and do woodworking in school. I learned to tool leather and silversmithing in the last 20 years or so. I've always needed an outlet for emotions and a peaceful zone where I can rest my mind for a while. Doing all those things help me. I like to do art because it does come from my heart and I can express myself. It takes me in directions I could never imagine physically, emotionally and spiritually. The creative process itself is the main inspiration for my work. Seeing other amazing artists work can also be very inspiring, and gives light to new ideas. Follow your heart!
